I love the theatre. 

I love any type of live entertainment.

Its something that makes me - and audiences - forget their worries and takes us into a fantasy world of song, dance, bright lights and emotions.

 

Obviously my career addition from Comedian to - and including - writing novels and producing stage plays - has led to many theatres asking me to review productions for them.

 

I class this as quite an honour.

 

When I was first asked to do this I was thrilled - and very nervous!

You know the feeling when you are down your local ale house or social club at a Karaoke night, and one of the local girls gets up to sing. You know the type, beautiful young girl, stunning looks, large supportive family and a massive partisan crowd that go ecstatic when she has just murdered Celine Dion's -  'The Heart Will Go On'.

Her Dad looks at you and says - "she's great isn't she"!

Well, you know what we do . . . .  we agree . . and when the crowd tell her that she is amazing at Britain's Got Talent is her next step . . . mmmmmm..........

That isn't the time to be a critic or reviewer.

 

So I saw the opportunity to add my years of experience into helping production companies and theatres - and the public -  by giving an honest - and fair - review of their new show.
